Ali-M-Light is more viscous than traditional restorative materials, has good adhesion to dentin and high strength, is insoluble in water, and is easily processed with both high and low speed burs. There is no longer a need to place the material on a mixing plate and then insert it into the oral cavity, and there is no contamination of the surface edge when inserting the material into the prepared cavity.
